Advanced Skin Treatments
Our advanced skin treatments are focused on supporting skin health, hydration balance, texture appearance, and general skin wellness concerns. Treatment options may include clinically guided skin procedures and medical-grade skin care recommendations, developed to support your skin’s natural function and long-term skin health goals. All treatments are preceded by a detailed skin assessment to help ensure suitability and safety. Your doctor will discuss potential considerations, recovery information, and maintenance recommendations where relevant.

Chemical Peels
Chemical peels are a fantastic treatment commonly used for facial rejuvenation, improving texture, tone and appearance by treating skin concerns like acne, sun damage, fine lines and hyperpigmentation.
Suitable for all skin types and a wide range of skin concerns, peels operate by delicately breaking the bonds between the dull and dead skin cells that reside on the surface of your skin. Instead of relying on abrasive scrubbing, those loosened dead skin cells can be easily washed away, no longer attached to your living skin cells. Collagen is stimulated and skin hydration is aided by promoting healing and moisture retention within you skin cells. The result is the unveiling of fresh, healthy skin, providing a revitalised and more youthful appearance.
Chemical peels are effective for treating a range of skin conditions:
- Acne
- Hyperpigmentation
- Wrinkles & fine lines
- Uneven skin tone
- Rough skin texture
- Scars
Our skin specialist will begin with a consultation to assess your skin type and concerns. During the treatment the skin is thoroughly cleaned to remove makeup, dirt and oils. The chemical solution is applied evenly across the skin’s surface. The solution is left on for a specific amount of time depending on the type of peel. The chemical is neutralised and removed, or it naturally dissipates over time. The length of the procedure may vary, with lighter peels taking around 30 minutes while deeper peels may require more time.
- You may feel flushed or appear red immediately following the peel, which can persist for 24 hours. This is sometimes associated with minor swelling, but not always. Frosting (a transient white discolouration) may persist for 24 hours.
- You may experience some skin peeling or mild flaking over the next 2 to 7 days, ranging from no visible peeling to a light to moderate flaking of the skin.
- Other more powerful peels may involve slightly more shedding for a week or so. However, not everyone will peel significantly, and this does not mean the treatment is ineffective.
- Results from our peels include a range of benefits including a noticeable reduction in lines and wrinkles, a smoother texture, an even skin tone and a rejuvenated youthful look. You may notice improvement in your skin tone and texture post treatment, but full results and effects of the chemical peel will be seen at 5-7 days after treatment.
For best results it is generally recommended to have an initial course of 4-8 chemical peels spaced 2-4 weeks apart, followed by maintenance peels (as required) which will depend on the type of peel, the extent of the concerns we are addressing and individual factors.

Skin Needling
Skin needling, also known as microneedling or microchanneling, is a procedure that utilises tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating natural collagen production and promoting a smoother, more youthful complexion. It is a minimally invasive procedure, offering a host of benefits, from reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles to improving the texture and tone of the skin. At The Age Reduxion Clinic, our skin needling treatment is unique. We use the skin needling treatment as an opportunity to infuse the skin with a specific cellular renewal serum that contains multiple skin nourishing ingredients such as vitamins, nutrients, growth factors, stem cells and hyaluronic acid. Incorporation of this serum into the skin further optimises collagen production and skin renewal.

Microneedling works by creating controlled micro-injuries in the skin’s surface using a specialised device with fine, sterile needles. These microscopic punctures trigger the skin’s natural repair mechanism, stimulating collagen and elastin production. As collagen and elastin are essential for maintaining skin elasticity and firmness, the increased production helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and scars, while improving overall skin texture.
The procedure also enhances the absorption and effectiveness of skincare products as the micro-channels created by the needles allow for better penetration of topical serums and moisturisers, maximising their benefits.
Before the treatment, a topical numbing cream may be applied to ensure your comfort during the procedure. Your medical practitioner will select the appropriate needle length based on your skin concerns and goals.
During the treatment, the nutrient-rich serum will be applied to your skin, the handheld device with fine needles is then gently passed over the skin, creating controlled micro-injuries. The depth of the needles will depend on the specific skin concerns being addressed. The procedure usually takes about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the treatment area and the complexity of the concerns being targeted. The nutrient-rich serum is applied again while the microchannels are open.
After your treatment, you will be sent home with a hydrating face mask to be applied 90 minutes after your treatment. Our team will provide you with personalised recommendations for at-home care, including continued use of our specifically formulated products packed with growth factors and skin-loving nutrients. By incorporating these products into your daily skincare routine, you will help sustain the improved texture, tone and radiance of your skin.
One of the advantages of microneedling is its relatively quick recovery time. After the procedure, your skin may appear slightly red, similar to a mild sunburn, which typically subsides within a day or two. You may also experience some mild skin sensitivity or tightness. It is important to follow the following aftercare instructions instructions:
- You will be given a mask to take home. Apply iit 90 minutes after the completion of your treatment and keep it on for around 30 minutes.
- Avoid touching the skin or using makeup for 6-8 hours.
After 6-8 hours you can apply a mild moisturiser as well as an SPF. - For at least 48 hours avoid extreme heat or sweating (no gym, sun, solarium, sauna, spicy food, exercise, swimming)
Avoid exposure to pet dander and other irritants as best you can. - Use a gentle, fragrance-free, non-comedogenic moisturiser as frequently as necessary to avoid dryness. Drink enough water to stay hydrated.
- Avoid active skincare products including retinol, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, beta hydroxyl acids (BHA), alpha hydroxyl acids (AHA), or exfoliation for 5-7 days.
Over time, as your skin goes through the natural healing process, you will begin to notice the results of your microneedling treatment. You can sometimes see results from a single treatment such as skin plumping (from the hyaluronic acid in the microchannel delivery device). New skin cells form as soon as 2 weeks after the procedure. The skin will appear smoother, firmer, and more radiant, with a reduction in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and scars. The texture and tone of the skin will be improved, revealing a refreshed and youthful complexion.
The longevity of microneedling results varies depending on individual factors such as age, skin condition, and lifestyle. Typically, a series of treatments is recommended to achieve optimal results, spaced one month apart. For light anti-ageing 1-2 treatments may be sufficient. For deeper wrinkles or acne scarring, 5 or more treatments may be required to achieve desired results. The collagen and elastin produced in response to the treatment continue to build over time, providing long-term benefits. To maintain the results of microneedling, periodic maintenance treatments are often recommended. These can help sustain the skin’s improved texture and tone, ensuring long-lasting benefits and ongoing skin rejuvenation.

Neck Ageing & Skin Quality Concerns
We offer consultations for concerns related to ageing in the neck area, including skin laxity, crepey texture, dryness, fine lines and wrinkles. Our doctors will assess your skin quality, firmness and overall neck appearance to develop a personalised, non-surgical treatment plan aimed at improving skin texture, hydration and tone.

Hyperpigmentation / Melasma
Hyperpigmentation refers to the darkening of certain areas of the skin due to an increase in melanin production. It can occur as a result of various factors such as sun exposure, acne, skin injuries, hormonal changes, or inflammation. Melasma is a specific type of hyperpigmentation that is characterised by symmetrical, brown or gray-ish patches on the face. It is often associated with hormonal changes, such as those occurring during pregnancy or while taking contraceptive pills

At The Age Reduxion Clinic, we offer a range of safe and effective treatments as well as prescription-only treatments that aim to lighten the skin, fade dark patches and even out the skin tone.
Our targeted solutions include:
- Pigment Peel- formulated with Salicylic Acid for deep exfoliation, calming antioxidants, and illuminating properties. A medium strength peel that will penetrate to the dermis and slough away surface skin cells. This texturising treatment effectively exfoliates and helps to even out dull, lifeless skin. Ideal for those with pigmentation, sun damage and aged skin. Salicylic Acid smooths texture while Tyrostat™-11 illuminates the complexion to restore radiance.
- Micro-needling – triggers the body’s healing response, stimulating collagen and elastin production. The increased collagen helps to improve skin structure and can reduce the appearance of uneven pigmentation, like dark spots or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). The micro-channels created by the needles also encourage the shedding of old pigmented cells and promote the growth of new, healthy skin. This renewal helps to lighten darks spots and even out the skin tone over time. Additionally, micro-needling allows to better absorption of topical treatments such as serums containing brightening ingredients like vitamin C or niacinamide.
- Medical-grade skincare – our professionals will perform a detailed skin assessment and recommend a tailored skincare regimen that suits you.

Hair Growth Treatment
Skin needling, or microneedling, has gained significant recognition for its ability to rejuvenate the skin. However, it also offers a powerful solution for individuals experiencing hair loss or seeking to enhance hair growth. This non-surgical procedure stimulates the scalp’s natural healing process, encourages blood circulation, and promotes the production of collagen and other growth factors that can potentially revitalise hair follicles and promote hair growth.
Microneedling for hair growth involves creating controlled micro-injuries in the scalp using a specialised device with fine, sterile needles. These micro-injuries trigger the body’s natural healing response, promoting increased blood circulation, collagen production, and the release of growth factors. These factors work synergistically to stimulate dormant hair follicles, improve hair thickness, and encourage new hair growth. The micro-injuries created by the needles also enhance the absorption and effectiveness of specialized hair growth products applied during and after the procedure, allowing for better penetration and nourishment of the scalp.
Our microneedling procedure for hair growth is performed by experienced practitioners in a comfortable environment. The practitioner will select the appropriate needle length and technique based on your specific hair concerns and goals.
During the treatment, the handheld device with fine needles is gently applied to the scalp, creating controlled micro-injuries. These micro-injuries are strategically placed across the scalp to target areas of thinning hair or areas where increased hair growth is desired. The procedure is generally well-tolerated and can take around 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the treatment area and individual needs.
After the microneedling treatment for hair growth, you can expect minimal downtime. Your scalp may appear slightly red and feel sensitive immediately after the procedure, but these effects typically subside within a day or two. It is important to follow the following aftercare instructions instructions:
- For the first 4 hours do not touch the area that has been treated as the channels are open.
- It is best to shower the day after your treatment so the growth factors applied to your scalp during treatment have a chance to penetrate into the skin.
- Avoid exposure to pet dander and other irritants as best you can.
- Avoid sweating for the first 24 hours (no gym, sauna, swimming, exercise) and spicy food.
- Avoid exposure to sun for 48 hours.
Drink enough water to stay hydrated. - Our team will provide you with personalised recommendations for at-home care, including continued use of our specifically formulated Home Hair Care Serum that is packed with growth factors and scalp-loving nutrients. By incorporating this products into your daily routine, you will further promote new hair growth.
Over time, you may notice significant improvements in hair thickness and new hair growth. The revitalisation of dormant hair follicles can lead to fuller, healthier-looking hair. While individual results may vary, many patients experience positive changes in their hair growth patterns and overall hair health.
To optimise and maintain the benefits of microneedling for hair growth, a series of treatments is often recommended. For hair regrowth you may need at least 6 treatments spaced about one month apart, and it can take up to nine months to see results, as hair follicles need time to go from a resting phase to an active phase.
Incorporating ongoing scalp care and specialised hair growth products into your daily routine is crucial for long-term hair health. These products, specifically formulated to nourish and support the scalp, work in synergy with microneedling to sustain hair growth improvements and promote overall scalp health.

Hand Ageing & Skin Quality Concerns
When it comes to revealing our true age, the hands often receive less attention than the face, yet they can be a significant indicator of the ageing process. As we age, the fat pads in the hands diminish, resulting in a loss of volume and plumpness and causing veins and tendons to become more prominent, giving the hands a skeletal appearance. The skin on the hands becomes thinner and more susceptible to developing wrinkles and fine lines. Prolonged sun exposure can lead to the development of age spots, pigmentation irregularities, and an uneven skin tone on the hands. At The Age Reduxion, we offer consultations to discuss various treatment options aimed to address these signs of ageing in the hands.
