Skin & Hair Treatments
Skin Boosters are a type of dermal filler treatment specifically designed to improve skin quality and hydration. Unlike traditional dermal fillers that primarily address volume loss, skin boosters are formulated to hydrate the skin and stimulate collagen production. This treatment aims to enhance your skin’s natural radiance, improve texture, and diminish fine lines and wrinkles.
Skin boosters contain hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that attracts and retains moisture. When injected into the skin, the hyaluronic acid molecules bind with water, resulting in improved hydration and increased plumpness. Additionally, the presence of hyaluronic acid stimulates collagen production, promoting long-term skin rejuvenation. The treatment involves a series of micro-injections administered evenly across the targeted area, such as the face, neck, décolletage, or hands. The hyaluronic acid-based solution is gently deposited into the skin, providing deep hydration and replenishing essential nutrients. The process works to revitaliSe and rejuvenate your skin, leaving it smoother, more radiant, and youthful-looking.

Before the procedure begins, a topical anesthetic may be applied to ensure your comfort during the treatment. The actual procedure is relatively quick, with the injections taking around 15 minutes to complete.
During the treatment, your medical practitioner will assess your skin and discuss your desired outcome. They will then mark the injection sites and proceed with the injections. The number of sessions required may vary depending on your skin condition and desired results, but a series of treatments spaced a few weeks apart is often
The longevity of skin booster results varies depending on factors such as individual skin characteristics, lifestyle, and the specific product used. Generally, the effects of skin boosters can last for several months, with some individuals experiencing benefits for up to a year. To maintain the results, periodic touch-up treatments are recommended.
Regular maintenance sessions can help sustain the hydration and collagen stimulation achieved through skin boosters, allowing you to enjoy a consistently radiant and rejuvenated complexion. Your practitioner will provide guidance on the optimal treatment schedule based on your skin’s needs and goals.
Following the injections, it is normal to experience some mild redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites. However, these side effects are generally temporary and subside within a few days. Avoid the following after your treatment in order to optimise your results and minimise any side effects:
- For at least 8 hours avoid touching the injection site, massaging the injection area or lying on the injection area (try to sleep on your back).
- For 24 hours avoid makeup, active skincare products, strenuous exercise and alcohol.
- For at least 48 hours avoid extreme heat (sun, solarium, sauna), swimming, applying excessive pressure to the injection area.
- For at least a week after your treatment use only gentle skin products and avoid facials, facial waxing, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, IPL or laser therapies.
- Avoid any vaccinations for at least 1 month after your treatment as there have been some reported cases of allergic reactions and formation of lumps when cosmetic injections are given around the same time as vaccines.
Over time, you will notice a significant improvement in your skin’s quality and hydration. Your complexion will appear more radiant, smooth, and plump, with a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. The results of skin boosters are natural-looking, providing a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance that enhances your overall skin health.
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Therapy
PRP therapy utilises your body’s own healing properties to promote tissue regeneration, improve skin quality, and address various concerns. PRP therapy harnesses the healing power of platelets found in your blood to stimulate tissue repair and rejuvenation. Platelets are rich in growth factors and proteins that play a vital role in the healing process. By isolating and concentrating these platelets through a simple blood draw and a centrifugation process, we create Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP). When injected into specific areas, PRP triggers the body’s natural healing response, promoting collagen production, improving blood flow, and stimulating the regeneration of healthy cells.
The PRP therapy process begins with a thorough consultation to assess your specific concerns and determine if you are a suitable candidate. If PRP therapy is deemed appropriate for your needs, a small sample of your blood will be drawn and processed to extract the PRP. The PRP is then carefully injected into the target area(s). The growth factors and proteins in PRP stimulate tissue repair, collagen synthesis, and overall rejuvenation.
PRP therapy offers a wide range of applications, making it a versatile treatment option. It can be used to rejuvenate and improve the appearance of the face, under eye region, neck, and hands by reducing wrinkles, fine lines, and age spots. PRP can also stimulate hair growth and improve hair thickness in individuals experiencing hair loss or thinning.
The concentrated growth factors in PRP help jump-start and enhance your body’s regenerative processes, providing long-lasting results.
PRP therapy is a relatively simple and minimally invasive procedure. After the blood sample is collected, it is processed in a centrifuge to separate the PRP from other components of the blood. The PRP is then prepared for injection. Depending on the treatment area and your comfort, a topical numbing cream or local anesthesia may be applied to ensure a comfortable experience. The PRP is then injected into the target area(s) using fine needles. The procedure typically takes about 30 minutes, depending on the treatment area and specific goals.
After PRP therapy, you may experience some mild swelling, redness, or bruising in the treated area.. These effects are generally temporary and subside within a few days to a week. Most individuals can resume their normal activities immediately after the procedure, although some specific instructions may be provided by your healthcare professional to optimise your recovery and results.
Results from PRP therapy develop gradually as the body’s natural healing processes take effect. Collagen production and tissue regeneration occur over time, leading to improved skin texture, enhanced hair growth, or relief from joint pain, depending on the treatment area. The number of PRP therapy sessions required and the duration of results can vary depending on individual factors and the specific concern being addressed. In general, three treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart are required to optimise results. Maintenance treatments are required every 4-6 months.
Skin needling, also known as microneedling or microchanneling, is a procedure that utilises tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating natural collagen production and promoting a smoother, more youthful complexion. It is a minimally invasive procedure, offering a host of benefits, from reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles to improving the texture and tone of the skin. At The Age Reduxion Clinic, our skin needling treatment is unique. We use the skin needling treatment as an opportunity to infuse the skin with a specific cellular renewal serum that contains multiple skin nourishing ingredients such as vitamins, nutrients, growth factors, stem cells and hyaluronic acid. Incorporation of this serum into the skin further optimises collagen production and skin renewal.
Microneedling works by creating controlled micro-injuries in the skin’s surface using a specialised device with fine, sterile needles. These microscopic punctures trigger the skin’s natural repair mechanism, stimulating collagen and elastin production. As collagen and elastin are essential for maintaining skin elasticity and firmness, the increased production helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and scars, while improving overall skin texture.
The procedure also enhances the absorption and effectiveness of skincare products as the micro-channels created by the needles allow for better penetration of topical serums and moisturisers, maximising their benefits.
Before the treatment, a topical numbing cream may be applied to ensure your comfort during the procedure. Your medical practitioner will select the appropriate needle length based on your skin concerns and goals.
During the treatment, the nutrient-rich serum will be applied to your skin, the handheld device with fine needles is then gently passed over the skin, creating controlled micro-injuries. The depth of the needles will depend on the specific skin concerns being addressed. The procedure usually takes about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the treatment area and the complexity of the concerns being targeted. The nutrient-rich serum is applied again while the microchannels are open.
After your treatment, you will be sent home with a hydrating face mask to be applied 90 minutes after your treatment. Our team will provide you with personalised recommendations for at-home care, including continued use of our specifically formulated products packed with growth factors and skin-loving nutrients. By incorporating these products into your daily skincare routine, you will help sustain the improved texture, tone and radiance of your skin.
One of the advantages of microneedling is its relatively quick recovery time. After the procedure, your skin may appear slightly red, similar to a mild sunburn, which typically subsides within a day or two. You may also experience some mild skin sensitivity or tightness. It is important to follow the following aftercare instructions instructions:
- You will be given a mask to take home. Apply iit 90 minutes after the completion of your treatment and keep it on for around 30 minutes.
- Avoid touching the skin or using makeup for 6-8 hours.
After 6-8 hours you can apply a mild moisturiser as well as an SPF.
- For at least 48 hours avoid extreme heat or sweating (no gym, sun, solarium, sauna, spicy food, exercise, swimming)
Avoid exposure to pet dander and other irritants as best you can.
- Use a gentle, fragrance-free, non-comedogenic moisturiser as frequently as necessary to avoid dryness. Drink enough water to stay hydrated.
- Avoid active skincare products including retinol, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, beta hydroxyl acids (BHA), alpha hydroxyl acids (AHA), or exfoliation for 5-7 days.
Over time, as your skin goes through the natural healing process, you will begin to notice the results of your microneedling treatment. You can sometimes see results from a single treatment such as skin plumping (from the hyaluronic acid in the microchannel delivery device). New skin cells form as soon as 2 weeks after the procedure. The skin will appear smoother, firmer, and more radiant, with a reduction in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and scars. The texture and tone of the skin will be improved, revealing a refreshed and youthful complexion.
The longevity of microneedling results varies depending on individual factors such as age, skin condition, and lifestyle. Typically, a series of treatments is recommended to achieve optimal results, spaced one month apart. For light anti-ageing 1-2 treatments may be sufficient. For deeper wrinkles or acne scarring, 5 or more treatments may be required to achieve desired results. The collagen and elastin produced in response to the treatment continue to build over time, providing long-term benefits. To maintain the results of microneedling, periodic maintenance treatments are often recommended. These can help sustain the skin’s improved texture and tone, ensuring long-lasting benefits and ongoing skin rejuvenation.
At The Age Reduxion Clinic, we offer a range of innovative and effective procedures to address common concerns associated with ageing in the neck area, such as crepey appearance of the skin, sagging, dryness, fine lines and wrinkles.
Specialised injections that deliver a boost of hydration and essential nutrients to the deeper layers of the skin. It is an ideal treatment for clients who are looking for supple, bouncy and plush skin with natural-looking results.
Advanced treatment that utilises tiny needles to create microchannels in the skin of the neck. These channels stimulate the body’s natural healing response, prompting the production of collagen and elastin fibers. By increasing the skin’s structural support, microchanneling helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and skin laxity in the neck area. This procedure also enhances the absorption of nourishing serums and other skincare products, maximising their effectiveness and promoting overall skin health.
Also known as a non-surgical neck lift, is a procedure designed to lift and tighten sagging skin in the neck. During a thread lift, thin threads made of biocompatible material are strategically placed beneath the skin to provide immediate lifting effects. Over time, the threads stimulate collagen production, further enhancing the firmness and elasticity of the neck. Thread lifts offer a convenient solution for individuals seeking a non-surgical alternative to address loose skin and restore a more youthful contour to the neck.
Can be used in the neck to target Platysmal Bands or for a ‘Nefirtiti Neck Lift’. The Platysma muscle in the neck can become more prominent and create vertical bands as we age, resulting in an aged and less defined neck appearance. Anti-wrinkle injections in Plastysmal Bands results in a smoother, more toned appearance of the neck. Inspired by the graceful neck of the ancient Egyptian queen, the Nefirtiti Neck Lift is a non-surgical technique that uses anti-wrinkle injections to redefine the jawline and lift the neck area. Anti-wrinkle injections are administered into the muscles of the lower face and upper neck so that the downward pull of these muscles is weakened, allowing the opposing muscles to lift both the lower face and jawline. This creates a more sculpted jaw appearance, enhances the definition of the jawline, and provides a more elegant youthful looking neck.
Hyperpigmentation / Melasma
Hyperpigmentation refers to the darkening of certain areas of the skin due to an increase in melanin production. It can occur as a result of various factors such as sun exposure, acne, skin injuries, hormonal changes, or inflammation. Melasma is a specific type of hyperpigmentation that is characterised by symmetrical, brown or gray-ish patches on the face. It is often associated with hormonal changes, such as those occurring during pregnancy or while taking contraceptive pills
At The Age Reduxion Clinic, we offer a safe and effective prescription-only treatment using a combined formulation of topical hydroquinone, hydrocortisone and tretinoin.
01. Hydroquinone: A skin lightening agent that works by inhibiting the production of melanin, fading dark patches and evening out skin tone.
02. Hydrocortisone: A mild corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation and irritation associated with hyperpigmentation. It helps calm the skin and enhances the effectiveness of other active ingredients in the formulation.
03. Tretinoin: A derivative of vitamin A and retinoid that promotes cell turnover and enhances penetration of other active ingredients. It helps to fade pigmentation and improves overall skin texture and appearance of the skin.
It is important to note that this treatment can only be used under the guidance of a doctor, after evaluation of your skin condition.
Acne Treatment / Acne Scarring
At The Age Reduxion Clinic, we understand how acne can have a significant impact on self-esteem, confidence and how an individual show’s up in the world. Emerging research highlights the connections between gut health and skin. A balanced gut microbiome can help control inflammation, improve nutrient absorption, and influence the skin’s barrier function. Probiotics, prebiotics and a healthy diet play a role in nurturing the skin.
Retinoids are derivatives of vitamin A and are commonly used to treat acne. They work by unclogging pores, reducing inflammation, and promoting skin cell turnover. These medications are available in different strengths and formulations, and they may cause some initial skin irritation which usually improves with time.
Antibiotics can be applied to the skin to reduce the amount of acne-causing bacteria on the skin. They help to decrease inflammation and control acne breakouts.
In cases of moderate to severe acne, oral antibiotics work by targeting the bacteria associated with acne and reducing inflammation. Oral antibiotics are typically used for a short period and may be combined with topical treatments for optimal results.
For women with hormonal acne, certain oral contraceptives containing oestrogen and progesterone can be effective. These contraceptives regulate hormone levels, which can help reduce breakouts.

Hair Growth Treatment
Skin needling, or microneedling, has gained significant recognition for its ability to rejuvenate the skin. However, it also offers a powerful solution for individuals experiencing hair loss or seeking to enhance hair growth. This non-surgical procedure stimulates the scalp’s natural healing process, encourages blood circulation, and promotes the production of collagen and other growth factors that can potentially revitalise hair follicles and promote hair growth.
Microneedling for hair growth involves creating controlled micro-injuries in the scalp using a specialised device with fine, sterile needles. These micro-injuries trigger the body’s natural healing response, promoting increased blood circulation, collagen production, and the release of growth factors. These factors work synergistically to stimulate dormant hair follicles, improve hair thickness, and encourage new hair growth. The micro-injuries created by the needles also enhance the absorption and effectiveness of specialized hair growth products applied during and after the procedure, allowing for better penetration and nourishment of the scalp.
Our microneedling procedure for hair growth is performed by experienced practitioners in a comfortable environment. The practitioner will select the appropriate needle length and technique based on your specific hair concerns and goals.
During the treatment, the handheld device with fine needles is gently applied to the scalp, creating controlled micro-injuries. These micro-injuries are strategically placed across the scalp to target areas of thinning hair or areas where increased hair growth is desired. The procedure is generally well-tolerated and can take around 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the treatment area and individual needs.
After the microneedling treatment for hair growth, you can expect minimal downtime. Your scalp may appear slightly red and feel sensitive immediately after the procedure, but these effects typically subside within a day or two. It is important to follow the following aftercare instructions instructions:
- For the first 4 hours do not touch the area that has been treated as the channels are open.
- It is best to shower the day after your treatment so the growth factors applied to your scalp during treatment have a chance to penetrate into the skin.
- Avoid exposure to pet dander and other irritants as best you can.
- Avoid sweating for the first 24 hours (no gym, sauna, swimming, exercise) and spicy food.
- Avoid exposure to sun for 48 hours.
Drink enough water to stay hydrated.
- Our team will provide you with personalised recommendations for at-home care, including continued use of our specifically formulated Home Hair Care Serum that is packed with growth factors and scalp-loving nutrients. By incorporating this products into your daily routine, you will further promote new hair growth.
Over time, you may notice significant improvements in hair thickness and new hair growth. The revitalisation of dormant hair follicles can lead to fuller, healthier-looking hair. While individual results may vary, many patients experience positive changes in their hair growth patterns and overall hair health.
To optimise and maintain the benefits of microneedling for hair growth, a series of treatments is often recommended. For hair regrowth you may need at least 6 treatments spaced about one month apart, and it can take up to nine months to see results, as hair follicles need time to go from a resting phase to an active phase.
Incorporating ongoing scalp care and specialised hair growth products into your daily routine is crucial for long-term hair health. These products, specifically formulated to nourish and support the scalp, work in synergy with microneedling to sustain hair growth improvements and promote overall scalp health.
When it comes to revealing our true age, the hands often receive less attention than the face, yet they can be a significant indicator of the ageing process. As we age, the fat pads in the hands diminish, resulting in a loss of volume and plumpness and causing veins and tendons to become more prominent, giving the hands a skeletal appearance. The skin on the hands becomes thinner and more susceptible to developing wrinkles and fine lines. Prolonged sun exposure can lead to the development of age spots, pigmentation irregularities, and an uneven skin tone on the hands. At The Age Reduxion, we offer effective treatments to address these signs of ageing in the hands.
Hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers are an effective treatment to rejuvenate and restore volume to ageing hands, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, veins and tendons.
These specialised injections deliver a boost of hydration and essential nutrients to the deeper layers of the skin.
